Overview

Ladakh tours are among the most unforgettable adventure experiences in India, offering a spectacular blend of dramatic Himalayan landscapes, ancient monasteries, remote mountain villages, and challenging high-altitude trekking. Known as the Land of High Passes, Ladakh is home to snow-capped peaks, turquoise valleys, ancient Buddhist monasteries, and some of the most breathtaking trekking routes in the Himalayas. From exploring the monasteries of Leh and Diskit to walking through the remote landscapes of Nubra Valley and crossing the spectacular Lasermo La Pass, every stage of this journey offers a new perspective of Ladakh’s rugged beauty.

At Trippack Tours and Travels, our Ladakh trekking tours are designed for adventure seekers, mountain lovers, and travelers looking for an immersive Himalayan experience. With private transfers, experienced trekking support, carefully selected camps and hotels, and acclimatization days built into the itinerary, we make your high-altitude adventure comfortable, organized, and memorable.

From Leh, you’ll begin your journey through the spectacular landscapes of Ladakh, gradually acclimatizing before heading towards the Nubra Valley. Crossing Khardung La, you’ll reach the villages of Diskit and Hunder, where ancient monasteries, dramatic mountains, and desert-like landscapes create a remarkable contrast.

As the trek progresses, you’ll leave the more accessible parts of Nubra behind and enter remote Himalayan terrain through Wacham and Thanglesgo. The landscape becomes increasingly wild and pristine as you approach the Lasermo La region, culminating in the challenging crossing of the high Lasermo La Pass before descending towards Morubuk and Phyang.

Finally, return to Leh after completing an unforgettable Himalayan trekking circuit, with time to explore Ladakh’s monasteries, markets, mountain viewpoints, and cultural heritage.

This curated 13-day adventure promises an extraordinary journey through the remote valleys, high mountain passes, Buddhist heritage, and breathtaking landscapes of Ladakh, making it an ideal experience for travelers seeking adventure beyond the ordinary.

IS THIS TOUR FOR YOU?

This journey is perfect for travelers who want to experience the dramatic landscapes, high-altitude adventure, Buddhist heritage, and remote mountain valleys of Ladakh. If you’ve ever dreamed of trekking across a high Himalayan pass, exploring the remote Nubra Valley, walking through traditional Ladakhi villages, or witnessing the rugged beauty of Lasermo La, this trip is designed for you.

It suits:

  • Adventure travelers who enjoy challenging high-altitude treks, mountain passes, remote valleys, and spectacular Himalayan landscapes
  • Trekkers seeking an immersive journey through Nubra Valley, Wacham, Thanglesgo, Lasermo La, Morubuk, and Phyang

This is not just a trekking tour, it’s a journey into the heart of the Himalayas, where every trail, mountain pass, monastery, and remote village reveals the raw beauty, spiritual heritage, and timeless culture of Ladakh.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT?

Best Time to Visit: June to September

Why:

Favorable Trekking Weather: Summer offers the most suitable conditions for high-altitude trekking in Ladakh, with generally dry weather and clearer mountain views.

Accessible High Passes: The trekking route toward Lasermo La is generally accessible during the summer trekking season, subject to snow conditions and local authorities.

Comfortable Daytime Conditions: Daytime temperatures are generally pleasant for trekking, although nights at high altitude can be very cold.

Clear Himalayan Landscapes: June to September provides excellent opportunities to experience Ladakh’s dramatic mountains, valleys, glaciers, and remote landscapes.

Local Culture & Festivals: The summer season offers opportunities to experience monasteries, village life, and traditional Ladakhi festivals, depending on your travel dates.

Off Season: October to May

What to Expect:

October to November: Temperatures drop significantly, with increasingly cold nights and possible snowfall at higher elevations. High-altitude trekking becomes difficult and route access may be restricted.

December to February (Winter): Extremely cold conditions, heavy snowfall in high-altitude areas, and closure of many trekking routes make the Lasermo La trek unsuitable.

March to May: Lower valleys begin to warm, but high passes can remain covered with snow and trekking routes may not yet be accessible.

Trekking Conditions: The Lasermo La route is highly dependent on snow, weather, road access, and local conditions. Always confirm current route conditions before departure.

ADDITIONAL INFO

WHAT IS THE TIME ZONE?

India operates on a single time zone called Indian Standard Time (IST), which is:

🕒 UTC +5:30 hours

That means when it’s 12:00 noon in London (GMT), it’s 5:30 PM in India. India does not observe daylight saving time, so the time remains the same year-round.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER?

India experiences a diverse climate due to its vast geography. Here's a general idea:

Summer (April to June): Hot and dry, especially in North & Central India, temperatures can reach 40°C+ (104°F).

Monsoon (July to September): Rainy season across most of the country, especially the South and coastal areas.

Autumn/Winter (October to March): The best time to visit! Cooler, pleasant weather across most regions, ideal for sightseeing.

Hill stations & mountains (e.g., Kashmir, Himachal, Sikkim) can be much colder year-round, sometimes snowy in winter.

Check the weather for your specific destinations before packing or ask us for guidance!

WHAT IS THE LANGUAGE?

India has two official national languages, Hindi and English. While Hindi is widely spoken across much of the country, English is commonly used for tourism, business, and government services, especially in cities and travel hubs.

Additionally, India is home to 22 officially recognized regional languages like Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Malayalam, each dominant in different states.

Don’t worry, our guides and support team communicate in English or the requested language at the time of booking to ensure a smooth travel experience for all international guests.
